"Here we live, in the streets our smells cross, of sweat and patchouli, of new brick and subway gas, our idle and tense flesh, never our glances [...] Come, let yourself fall with me in the lunar scar of our city, city handful of sewers, city crystal vapours and mineral frost, city presence of all our forgetfulness, city of cliffs, city of cliffs.Come, let yourself fall with me in the lunar scar of our city, city handful of sewers, city crystal of vapours and mineral frost, city presence of all our forgetfulness, city of carnivorous cliffs, city immobile pain, city of immense brevity [...] city of the submissive flea market, jar meat, city reflection of fury, city of longed-for failure [...] Here we are. What are we going to do. In the most transparent region of the air". - La región más transparente by Carlos Fuentes, 1958.
That said, here is our agenda for this weekend in this beautiful city.

This is how the light enters
January 18 - 12:00 pm
Centro de Cultura Digital
With the exhibition The Way Out is Collectivethey put on the table a toolbox to deal with contemporary debates about technology. But the value of the tools is in the use we make of them. With this idea in mind, the CCD prepared a public program that reinforces its commitment to dismantle the immanent power of technologies in order to shape them according to individual, collective, human, non-human and more than human needs.
There will be 3 sessions: January 18, February 1 and 15, in which picnics will be held to discuss and collectively rewrite a manifesto -antimanifesto- that helps us to imagine technology, thinking of digital spaces as a tool that fights the ailments of today's world.
For this activity we will resume the fanzine Tecnologias que agrietan el mundo made and published collectively by members of the program Formación en Red 2023, a project that seeks to decentralize and share tools, reflections and situated knowledge about digital technologies and their impact on the diverse daily lives with which we are linked, where the relationship between digital technologies and the political dimensions of social life is addressed.
These talks and picnics will be divided into three sessions each led by Valentina Velázquez de León, Steff Acevedo and Ana Escutia. The objective of the activity is to create a new manifesto -antimanifesto- collectively, which will be presented and exhibited in the last week of the exhibition. The output is collective.

Course: Studies of nature in ink. Art, life and nature
18 January - 11:00 am
Colegio de San Ildefonso, Salón de Talleres Lado B
Justo Sierra 16, Centro Histórico
Within the framework of the exhibition The Intimate Nature of Life Ernst Saemisch, the participants will reflect on the beauty of nature and its ability to inspire art, based on the thematic core of nature and harmony. Saemisch was a nature-observant artist, and throughout his life he was surrounded by and sought inspiration in nature, from the trees in the Black Forest in his native Germany, to the fish in the waters of the sea and oceans during his journey from Europe to Africa, to the flora, vegetation and animals he encountered when he arrived in Mexico.
In nature we find shapes, textures, colors and possible balances, giving it a particular rhythm that harmonizes these elements in an appropriate way. That is why in this workshop participants will be invited to explore their creative side by observing and synthesizing lines from natural models such as leaves, flowers and some other elements of nature, recreate their own experiences and experiences with nature, inspired by the work of Ernst Seamisch and thus create a plastic exercise where they develop their artistic expression through ink.
We will work with watercolors, brushes of different thicknesses, black ink, godetes and a felt support on art paper.
