Snoopy at MUMEDI: to fill your eyes with nostalgia and happiness

From now until June 'Peanuts: Global Artists Collective' is being presented at MUMEDI, and there are hundreds of posters, objects, figures and murals by artists influenced by the love of Snoopy.

There is something about Snoopy that immediately enters the comfort zone of any child who is a little weird. Weird in the most beautiful sense; one who finds a solitary fantasy world with which he feels more comfortable than in the usual world. Almost every "weird" 10-year-old had, and has (because it has never stopped being around), an intense and private relationship with the beagle that Charles Schulz drew. With that lonely, melancholic, naive, selfish, pure and idealistic (non-animal) animal that slept on the roof of his house and liked to watch the stars. For all those children (and those of us who still are), there is an exhibition called Peanuts: Global Artists Collective at MUMEDI, where many artists -also influenced by the love of Snoopy- present their pieces around him.

Charlie Brown, Shermy, Bis, Eudora, Sally, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, Peppermint Patty, Frieda, Marcia, Franklin and Violeta will be at MUMEDI with Snoopy. For the exhibition, 7 artists were chosen to reinvent the characters. There will be five-meter murals and aisles full of posters, figures, memorabilia, graphics and other items to fill your eyes with nostalgia and childhood.

Peanuts: Global Artists Collective is being presented in Mexico City at the same time as in Berlin, New York, Paris, San Francisco and Seoul. Snoopy is in the air.
