What is outside, inside and behind the minds that are rethinking the aesthetic codes of our city? How is the electric impulse that animates the creative processes of the most daring artists of our time born? To find out, we would have to ask them, and that is exactly what we did.
Joining forces with LagoAlgoWe imagined a space for creatives to talk about their impulses and processes in the modernist facilities of the former El Lago restaurant.
Algo.Local is the materialization of that imagination, an initiative to talk about the effervescent creative scene of the CDMX. We invited a group of indefinable creators to bring us a little closer to their minds. We have created a space that gives us a slap in the face of inspiration; a place where you can connect with everything that bubbles in this city.
The goal of this space is to create a community around this question: what happens when the boundaries between disciplines are broken? We want to talk about new artistic expressions; we also want to question the aesthetic status quo.
We want to talk about many things and we'll start with Algo.Local. The first edition of this space for the creative community of the CDMX will take place this week at LagoAlgo. We will count with the presence of creatives and projects such as Ananda Cordero of Queremos Pastelthe project of memes and contemporary art Somos la Nueva Olathe art and design project Sentimiento by María Isas, the producer and DJ Danika Vanderlinden and design practice Bolsónby Norberto Miranda. Some of these guests will present a piece that will be exhibited in this space from Friday April 19 to Sunday April 21 at LagoAlgo for the general public.
