OPENING GYRO
January 10 - 18:00 a 21:00 pm
Colima 256, Roma Norte

TDRoom in Mexico City presents Gyro, the first solo exhibition by multidisciplinary artist Correo Electrónico (Máximo Campo). The opening will take place on January 10, with an opening event from 6 to 9 PM, and the exhibition will remain open to the public until January 26.

Gyro is a site-specific installation that invites the public to interact with a system of modified drums suspended as pendulums. The work explores sound as an emergent property of organized and disorganized movement in physical space. Through their interaction with the piece, participants activate responses governed by a set of internal rules, where controlled gestures generate rhythmic patterns and chaotic movements produce unpredictable sonic results.

This exhibition represents a shift in the practice of Correo Electrónico, known primarily as a musician and visualist specializing in live rendered visuals for musical performances. Recognized for his technical and innovative approach to digital media, Gyro reflects a new direction in his work, combining his interest in sound and technology with participatory and site-specific art.

I FLOAT LIKE A ROCK
10 January - 18:30 pm
Puebla 94, Roma Norte

Floto como una piedra, culminates years of Salali's research on femicide and stoning in Islamic culture. In this powerful piece, the audience is invited to place stones on the performer's body until she is completely buried. As the performer is gradually released from the weight, the audience is invited to observe, reflecting on how the issues of femicide and homophobia cut across all societies, including our own.

The performance explores how sound and live action can serve as a fragile archival practice, while reflecting the complicity of our inaction in the face of systemic oppression.

The floating stones symbolize Salali's queer and immigrant identity: rootless, heavy but gloriously defiant. The piece reflects the resistance of those who carry their existence as resistance. They float like a stone.

Conscious cooperation $250

His work reflects on the connection between the spiritual and the material, offering a visual language that invites introspection and an intimate dialogue with the viewer.

Alex Lazard has consolidated his career in the Mexican art scene thanks to his ability to incorporate influences from philosophy, literature and psychology into his practice. His technique combines elements of expressionism and symbolism, using rich textures and emotionally charged compositions.

In Intermitente, Lazard continues his artistic quest through works that play with the concepts of pause and flow, capturing moments that seem suspended in time. Each piece promises to be a sensorial and emotional experience, ideal for those who enjoy art charged with deep meaning.

TIBETAN BOWLS
January 11 - 12:00 pm
Chapultepec Botanical Garden

This Saturday, the Chapultepec Botanical Garden will be the setting for a unique experience of healing and connection: a sound healing session with Tibetan singing bowls. Sound healing therapy, or sound healing, uses vibrations generated by instruments such as singing bowls to balance body, mind and spirit. Each note emitted by the bowls resonates at different frequencies that help release tension, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation. This ancient approach, originating from cultures such as Tibetan and Hindu, is based on the belief that sound has the power to restore the flow of energy in the body, generating a sense of total harmony.

HERE IS ALWAYS MONDAY, FRIDAY AND SUNDAY
January 11 - 12:00 pm
Lancaster 29, Polanco

Save the date this Saturday will be the closing of the exhibition Aquí siempre es lunes, jueves y domingo by Mexican artist Yolanda Ceballos, with a special activation and a conversation with curator Fabiola Iza.

The work of Yolanda Ceballos is a poetic reflection of everyday life. Through installations, objects and visual narratives, the artist manages to reinterpret the rhythms and repetitions of daily life, endowing them with a symbolic charge that resonates with the intimate and the collective. Her practice explores time as a flexible dimension, where the days of the week cease to be functional labels and become carriers of emotional and social meanings.

The activation of the exhibition promises to delve deeper into the ideas behind the exhibition, offering an immersive experience that recontextualizes the pieces on display. The conversation with Fabiola Iza will be the perfect space to discuss Ceballos' creative processes, the stories that inspire his work and its resonance in the present.
