With a critical and poetic gaze, Gil investigates the power that symbolic structures exert in the city, rescuing the echoes of the "ghost witnesses" -subtle presences that blend into the urban landscape and go unnoticed under the weight of routine.

The exhibition will be open from November 9 at Campeche 130, Roma Sur, and is an invitation to reexamine our relationship with the monuments and landscape of the city we inhabit, to ask ourselves who we are and how the symbols that surround us shape our identity.

THE IMAGE OF AN EXPERIMENTAL MUSEUM
November 7
19:00 pm

*𝘌𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘢 𝘭𝘪𝘣𝘳𝘦*.

The Museo Experimental El Eco, an emblematic cultural space in Mexico City, will present The Image of an Experimental Museum. An encounter that will provide a rare opportunity to explore the history and evolution of this museum through the perspectives of four key figures who have influenced its identity. Paola Santoscoy, Tobias Ostrander, Chucho Caba and Macarena Hernández, all former members of the institution, will come together to reflect on their contributions and experiences, revealing how their collective vision has influenced the museum's image and programming.

Founded by German artist Mathias Goeritz in 1953, El Eco was born as a space for "emotional architecture," an innovative approach that fused art, design and public interaction. Throughout its history, the museum has undergone several transformations, going from a gallery to a bar and a theater, before being restored by the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 2005. Since then, it has established itself as a center for experimental art, where its minimalist and highly symbolic architecture continues to be a source of inspiration for artists and curators alike.

This event offers a profound reflection on the intersection between architecture, art and curatorial practices, and provides a unique insight into how the museum continues to innovate in its role as a platform for contemporary cultural expression. It is a must-see for those interested in the evolution of art institutions and the dialogue between history and modernity. In addition, admission is free, reflecting the museum's commitment to making art and thought accessible to all.

FANZINE FESTIVAL AND TRANS* EDITORIAL MEETING
November 9
11:00 - 19:00 P.M.
Casa Tomada, Pachuca 146 A, Condesa

For Poni Alta, graphic artist and creator of trans fanzines, fanzine festivals represent the moment when those publications made with dedication, body and soul finally find their place: "at a festival, fanzines come to life; they are touched, explored, commented on, and become a meeting point where people can meet, live together and exchange ideas".

It is in this spirit that AluZine, Fanzine Festival and Trans Editorial Encounter, will take place on Saturday, November 9 at the Casa Tomada Bookstore in Mexico City, with additional activities on the 7th and 8th.

Throughout the day, the festival will offer a variety of activities designed to enrich the experience of each attendee: from workshops, lectures, and fanzine presentations, to drawing sessions and games, all starting at 11:00 am.

Created from and for trans people, but open to all, AluZine is an initiative to build a narrative and memory around the trans fanzine in Mexico City and other spaces. In the words of Poni Alta, it is "a spark that seeks to light a fire of its own, so that collectively we can make this scene more present and fertile."
