LOCAL AGENDA: OCTOBER 31-NOVEMBER 3

This Day of the Dead season, we are faced with one of the deepest traditions of our culture: the art of remembering and honoring our departed loved ones. Each altar, each ofrenda, is a symbol of love and connection, an invitation to immerse ourselves in a world where life and death intertwine. This week, we propose you to explore a series of events that not only celebrate the mysticism of this holiday, but also invite us to reflect on our own stories and the traces we leave behind. From ritual ceremonies that evoke memory, to parties that vibrate with music and color, each activity is an opportunity to connect with our roots and pay homage to the souls that still live in our hearts.

WISH YOU WERE HERE. LISTENING PARTY ON HIFI AND VINYL
November 3rd
Amsterdam 62, Condesa

In the heart of the Condesa, inside the emblematic 99 Records store, is a speakeasy-style bar that redefines the cocktail experience. Here, under the direction of a bartender who forged his art at Hanky Panky, you can enjoy cocktails that are true masterpieces, accompanied by exquisite finger food options.

SHHH 99 has one overriding commitment: quality music. Each day, a curator is in charge of selecting around eight vinyl records, which are played in the bar and store with exceptional sonic clarity. The choice of finger food is no coincidence; the aim is to prevent the sound of cutlery from distracting from the musical magic that envelops the space.

Following this philosophy, they organize listening parties where you can immerse yourself in the experience of listening to your favorite records at their best, cocktail in hand. This Sunday, the jewel of the evening will be Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd, a must for true music lovers.

With this vision, the night becomes a sensory journey where the border between reality and fantasy is blurred. Performers such as Avantgardo, Orly Anan, and Iye Yin Dae, among others, will transform the space into a stage of immersive experiences, making each attendee explore a world of amplified senses and a time suspended in the creative disorder of life and death.
